Paintings made on primed heavyweight rag paper, 23" x 31" each, from iron oxide pigments collected from copper mine waste-rock in Butte, Montana. The iron pigments were mulled in oil, then tubed. Returning to the source of the pigments, these paintings were made en plein aire in the waste-rock expanse of the mine. All works dated 2006.
